Brighton restaurant Momma Cherri's, made famous by appearing on Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares, has closed. The soul-food restaurant, owned by Charita Jones, sought the help of the celebrity chef back in 2004 and became one of the show's biggest success stories.

Momma Cherri's closed in 2009 with large debts and they went into administration.

“I canceled my own show on Fox, Kitchen Nightmares,” Ramsay said. He explained he hit a breaking point with one of the restaurants on his show and realized he had enough.
