10 Best Places To Eat And Drink in Ravello
Ravello is perched up high with amazing views of the entire Amalfi Coast. Everyone has seen pictures of the Amalfi Coast. It is hands down, one of the most beautiful places on earth. As a result, many people want to come and visit, which makes sense. When you have a lot of tourists you are bound to see many tourist trap restaurants, so you need to be careful.
Since nobody likes tourist traps ( myself included) we have asked our local guides to put together a list of their favorite places when they are in this town. We hope it helps you take the guesswork out of your decision and focus on enjoying your vacation. Buon Appetito!
Duomo Caffe

€ | Outdoor Seating | People Watching
I figured we would start this off with a chill place to have a drink and people watch. So what better place to do that than in the main square of town? The caffe is fairly new having opened in 2014 and appeals to both tourists and locals alike.
What should you have when you come? Your choice is vast from breakfast to lunch, to aperitivo to a late-night glass of wine. While we usually don’t recommend eating in the main squares, the quality to price ratio is good here. Furthermore, sometimes it is nice to sip on a spritz as the sun is going down and watch the world go by.
Address:Piazza Duomo, 15, 84010 Ravello
Hours: 8 AM- 10 PM Always open
Nino’s Pizza

€ | Pizza | Takeaway
Sometimes you don’t want a long, sit-down dinner. You might want to have a quick meal so that you can go night swimming in the sea. Therefore our pizza option is Nino’s Pizza.
The main fare is pizza here as you can imagine by the name. They also offer various calzones, sandwiches, and even roast chickens with potatoes. Enjoy a quick, but delicious meal and that’s why it is one of the best restaurants in Ravello.
Address:Viale Parco della Rimembranza, 3, 84010 Ravello
Hours:Noon- 2 PM, 7 PM- 10 PM Closed Tuesdays

Babel Wine Bar Deli & Art

€€ | Cozy Atmosphere | Great Service
Sometimes when you go to a restaurant you can tell that the owners were maybe artists in a previous life, or this life as well. That is definitley the vibe you will get when you come to dine at Babel Wine Bar Deli & Art.
If you want a break from the heavy pasta and pizzas, then pop in for lunch here. Enjoy some prosciutto and Mozzarella or some meatballs in a red sauce. For something a bit lighter how about a red quinoa salad? Don’t forget the wine and limoncello at the end.
Address:Via Santissima Trinità, 13, 84010 Ravello
Hours:Noon – 3:30 PM, 7 PM- 10:30 PM Always Open
Palazzo della Marra

€€ | Wine Bar | Historic Building
If you decide to have a drink or bite here, you will be dining in a building that dates back to the 13th century. It was the home of the della Marra noble family. The staff is very nice and accommodating and will explain the wines and menu to you. On a personal note, I was here with two crying children and they were super accommodating!
While the food is good here, the portions are small as in most wine bars. For us, that was no problem, but many people are expecting big portions so keep that in mind. They have many meat and seafood starters as well as various pasta to sample. I recommend coming for a light snack with a glass ( or bottle) of delicious wine. They also have a nice courtyard for you to sit in.
Address:Via della Marra, 7, 84010 Ravello
Hours:Noon – 3 PM, 6 PM- 10 PM Always Open
Garden Restaurant

€€ | Bistrot | Surf & Turf
Located in the Garden hotel, as with many spots in Ravello, you can have a georgous view while you dine. There are 2 big rooms to choose from, but I still recommend that you book in advance. Remember to book before the sun goes down so you can truly enjoy the view.
Their menu is focused on local and regional dishes. Their goal is to use as many products farm-to-table as possible. For example, I would recommend the fresh anchovies and calamari as a starter. Wash it down with local wine and don’t forget the limoncello. When you finish you will understand why it’s one of the best restaurants in Ravello.
Address:Via Giovanni Boccaccio, 4, 84010 Ravello
Hours:Noon – 3 PM, 7 PM- 10 PM Closed Tuesdays
Vittoria

€€ | Relaxing Atmosphere | Something for Everyone
One of the main sites that you will visit in Ravello is the Villa Rufolo, built back in the Middle Ages. Chances are you will be hungry and Vittoria is right around the corner so perfectly placed!
Their menu is varied from pizza, to meat dishes to seafood. Therefore this is the perfect place to come eat at when you have a bigger group and everyone likes something different.
Address:Via dei Rufolo, 3, 84010 Ravello
Hours:Noon – 2:30 PM, 7 PM- 10:30 PM Always Open
Salvatore Ravello 1958

€€€ | Amazing Views | Modern Twist
This is one of those places you go to for a meal and have an experience instead. The chef is someone who really knows what he is doing and the staff are on point. Did I mention that the views are amazing as well?
The menu has a bit of a modern twist on classical dishes, so you won’t find the typical dishes that you find at many restaurants in the area. You might start with bread that has a message written in squid ink and anchovy butter. After if you want to change it up go for the Steak Frites or the crespelle (a house favorite) Finish off with tiramisu and you will understand why this is one of the best restaurants in Ravello.
Address:Via della Repubblica, 2, 84010 Ravello
Hours:12:30 PM- 3 PM, 7:30 PM- 10 PM Closed Mondays
L’Antica Cartiera

€€€ | Stunning Views | Seafood
What better way to spend the night, than overlooking the Mediterranean from above and enjoying an amazing meal? If you come, make sure you make an rsvp early to enjoy the views with a bit of sunlight left. The restaurant is below sea level and in the Hotel Marmorata.
I highly recommend the Tuna Tartare as a starter. After that, I would go with the tagliolini with lobster. You might want to save room for dessert after so skip the ” Secondo” and dive into sweet decadence. They bring in Sal de Riso desserts which are the best on the coast, so if they have it, go with the Baba. After your meal, you will understand why this is one of the best restaurants in Ravello.
Address:Via Bizantina, 3, 84010 Marmorata
Hours:1 PM- 2:30 PM, 7:30 PM- 9:30 PM Never Closed
Rossellinis

€€€€ | Romantic Setting | Michelin *
Situated inside the 5* Palazzo Avino Hotel, the Michelin star says a lot. Even if you are not staying in the hotel, you can book a table here and the views are to epic and stunning. Service is impeccable as is everything else that comes with Michelin.
The menu consists of Haute Cuisine. You can select the Grand Tasting menu or order a’ la carte. Their wine selection is expansive and if you decide to splurge, at the end of the meal you will understand why this is one of the best restaurants in Ravello.

Il Flauto di Pan

€€€€ | Fine Dining | Ultimate Experience
I am going to go out on a limb here and say that this is the best restaurant in Ravello. While I know that ” Best” depends on many factors, Il Flauto has it all. From impeccable service, to amazing views, extensive wine list and delicious food. What more could you ask for? As expected it will be heavy on the wallet, but sometimes you just need to splurge. And this is the place to do it.
The restaurant is inside Villa Cimbrone hotel which is part of a park from the Middle Ages. The cuisine itself is modern where you will find pasta, fish and truffles of all sorts. Enjoy a nice bottle of wine overlooking the sea and realize that life is what you make it. When you finish you will understand why this is one of the best restaurants in Ravello.

How many days should I spend in Ravello? ›Try to stay there at least 2 nights. (we stayed 5 and loved it) there are many walks and gorgeous vistas from different points in the island. Three nights in Positano is good and a base for a day trip to Amalfi. One night in Ravello would be lovely.

If you are ever ambitious (or, in my case, clueless) enough to take the stairs from Minori up to Ravello on Italy's Amalfi Coast, you will not regret it. You may leave one or even both lungs along the way, but a piece of your heart will remain, too.
